ParkAid wins at
"The Design for All and Assistive Technology Awards"

Parkwalker took the Jury’s New Territory Award. People with Parkinson’s disease have difficulty initiating and sustaining walking in conditions, which would normally present no problem. Parkwalker from the company Parkaid Srl in Italy solves this problem by displaying moving visual cues in the user’s peripheral visual field within specially adapted glasses.
The software is contained in a mobile mini computer that can be worn on the user’s belt or in his or her pocket.
